Design

Every Stardust houseboat starts with our experienced design team. Led by the sales associate, each customer will have unlimited access to our staff of professional designers and engineers. Each design is reviewed and critiqued by team members from the sales, design, drafting, engineering and the production department to make sure no details are overlooked. The final design should be stylish and functional, yet take into consideration the constructability of each of the components.

A complete set of construction documents that includes floor plans, exterior elevations, interior details and sections, finish schedules, structural plans, electrical plans, and mechanical plans will be generated before the fabrication begins. When combined with the specification details, this comprehensive set of documents streamlines the fabrication process, allowing us to better schedule the completion date. In addition, these drawings and specs, in conjunction with the operation and maintenance manuals, will provide the customer with a set of documents that will facilitate repairs and maintenance.

As an additional service, Stardust offers 3D modeling of all boats upon the customer's request. This modeling allows for the detailing of even the most complicated aspects of the design process.
