Stardust Advantage

What makes a Stardust Cruiser different? Superior design, unique features, quality craftmanship, and the latest in creative innovations are only the beginning. What truly make the difference are our people. The average Stardust employee has been with the company for over 12 years, providing a level of expertise and craftmanship that is unparalleled in the industry.

The Stardust Advantage includes these unique standard features...

  • Custom Cabinetry: Stardust's cabinetry is the best in the business. We are the only houseboat company with our own in-house cabinet shop. We have the ability to custom fabricate cabinetry to fit the most intricate spaces created in a boat. We can create custom shapes, curves, counters, and finishes to the customer's desires.
  • Painted Hull: Our standard boat includes a painted hull. Unpainted aluminum hulls oxidize. Within a couple of years, they begin to show their age. An older looking boat loses its value more quickly. Cosmetically, a painted boat looks more like a yacht. It costs a little more, but it looks like it cost a lot more.

  • Deeper Hull: The standard Stardust hull is 6" deeper than our competitors. The result is a more attractive, larger looking boat with a commanding stance in the water. Inside, the deeper hull results in more headroom in the cuddies and lower beds in the upper bedrooms. Access to mechanical equipment in the hull is improved making installation and maintenance of the equipment easier and more efficient.
  • Vinyl Graphics: Stardust uses high quality vinyl that will outlast and out shine paint. If you ever need to replace or change the graphics, they are easily removed. Painted graphics are almost impossible to remove without leaving an impression where they have been.
  • Euro-Edge Roof: Stardust offers an angled, smooth, high-profile fiberglass roof edge that gives a sleek, finished appearance. Other companies have straight, low profile edges with the texture of rough fiberglass matting.
  • High Bow splash with front seating: Stardust boats have a standard higher bow splash which improves appearance and provides the correct height on the front deck for our standard custom seating.
  • Custom Fiberglass: Stardust has an in-house fiberglass shop. We make our own bridges, bars, arches, euro roof and other custom pieces. We have the added flexibility to make specialty pieces that are specific to Stardust boats only.
  • In-House Decorating: You have one on one access to our professional decorator, Theresa York. Theresa has years of houseboat decorating and design experience. In addition to custom decorating, she is a crucial and integral part of floor plan design. Through her creative eyes, she will make suggestions to create a unique floor plan that will flow with the interior design. We have an extensive design center complete with thousands of fabric choices, flooring, wall covering, paneling and veneers.
  • Thru-Hull Fittings: All Stardust Cruisers have prefabricated thru-hull fittings with integrated strainers on all hull penetrations. Welded pipe penetrations, which are most commonly used in the industry, are the most likely place for leaks. The absence of integrated strainers can allow foreign substances to clog mechanical equipment which can result in engine and equipment failure.
  • Manifold Water System: A manifold water distribution system is standard in all Stardust boats. These manifolds are located centrally in a closet in the cabin, and allow easy access to individual control of all water supply lines. The number of connections in the hull is greatly reduced, and water pressure is equalized. In addition, we utilize Pex plumbing tubing that resists freezing and can expand up to 300% of it’s size without breaking. Pex tubing carries a 25 year manufacturer warranty.

  • Electrical Systems: All wiring meets ABYC, NMMA, and CE standards. The electrical panels for the AC, AC Inverter, and 12 volt DC systems are centrally located in a closet within the cabin. Through our experience in the demanding rental boat environment, we have modified our eletrical systems to enhance performance of the inverter and 12 volt systems to eliminate system failure.
  • Hull Construction: The hull is the foundation of your boat. Stardust features all aluminum hull and framing. Stringers are placed on 2' centers, with liberal use of secondary reinforcements. The deck is constructed using integrated 2" X 3" tubing in addition to the more standard plate and bracing systems. On larger boats, additional aluminum trusses are placed to run the length of the hull to further strengthen and reinforce the frame. Click here to see photosof the hull fabrication process.
